About the Journal

Welcome to the SGB Journal of Biomedicine

The SGB Journal of Biomedicine is an international, open-access, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to highlighting the vanguard of experimental medicine. As clinical sciences shift away from conventional small-molecule chemical entities, our focus centers on the evolutionary transition toward biomarker-driven cellular and protein biologics to address the world’s most critical unmet clinical needs.

Our Mission & Editorial Philosophy

Every major scientific transition brings both profound advantages and unique systemic challenges. Today, conventional medical markets are heavily influenced by capitalistic interests, often restricting the global flow of medical literature and tightening regulatory frameworks to favor revenue growth over radical innovation. Consequently, the medical fraternity is frequently limited in information, bound by rigid regulation, and hindered in promising scientific experimentation.

This environment creates a dangerous vacuum: while the limitations of conventional medicine persist, opportunistic entities engage in unsafe, unverified practices.

The SGB Journal of Biomedicine was founded to navigate the delicate balance between scientific progress, market interests, and patient safety. Our primary objectives are to:

  • Publish Unbiased Science: Deliver rigorous, transparent, and high-quality research that advances the field of regenerative medicine.
  • Expose Current Limitations: Critically evaluate existing therapeutic boundaries to foster genuine innovation.
  • Protect Patients: Safeguard the global community from uninformed risks by providing an open, verifiable repository of evidence-based experimental medicine.

Scope & Open-Access Policies

We believe that high-quality scientific research should be a global public good, free from financial barriers for both readers and creators.

  • Scope of Interest: We welcome originals, reviews, case reports, short communications, and letters to the editor covering clinical, laboratory, regulatory, and social research in regenerative and experimental medicine.
  • No Author Fees: The journal does not charge any submission or article processing fees (APCs). Publishing is entirely free to authors.
  • Unrestricted Copyright: Authors retain full, unrestricted copyright of their work before and after publication.
  • Global Open Access: Fully aligned with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI), articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY) license. This permits anyone to read, download, copy, distribute, print, or adapt the work, provided the original author and source are properly cited.
  • Digital Preservation & Discoverability: To ensure permanent availability, all published articles are digitally archived in the Xeeor PharmaCloud and assigned unique Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) through CrossRef.

Corporate Sponsor & Foundations

The SGB Journal of Biomedicine is proudly sponsored by Somata Genesis Incorporated, a private biopharmaceutical pioneer with over 18 years of experience in biologic drug discovery across four countries.

Somata Genesis is dedicated to developing advanced therapeutic applications that combine cutting-edge administration techniques with cells and cytokines to target complex diseases and injuries.

  • In the United States: Somata Genesis is the first company to establish collaborative associations within the U.S. health insurance system under OHRP oversight, achieving Phase II clinical trial coverage for its flagship Multiple Sclerosis (MS) drug, Neutrojen M-150, under the provisions of the Right to Try Act of 2018.
  • In India: Operating as Somata Genesis Biotech Pvt. Ltd., the company leverages a diverse manufacturing ecosystem and cost-effective clinical research capabilities. By engaging highly experienced scientists and surgeons, they develop advanced clinical protocols and are currently constructing an all-in-one research and medical facility on India’s scenic western coast.

About the Founder

The organization was established by Surjo Banerjee with a vision to transcend the symptomatic suppression characteristic of modern medicine. By investigating critical vascular linkages to cerebral insufficiencies and neurological disorders, Banerjee’s foundational research underpins the company’s commitment to restoring true physiological function in aging, ischemic, and damaged tissue.
